Overview
Music Analysis follows on from Music Literacy and has students delving deep into written scores. The short course aligns with many first semester university-level contemporary music theory programs and explores both harmonic and melodic aspects of contemporary music practice. An overview of the topics covered include the following —

- Roman numeral analysis
- Diatonic and parallel relationships
- Chord inversion and slash notation
